We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Animal Management to join the existing team at our Merrist Wood Campus. You will be responsible for delivering education and training to students at the College on our degree courses. You will be responsible for engaging and inspiring teaching and learning in the delivery of courses and in supporting the raising of standards in accordance with the Corporate Aims and Strategic Objectives of the College. Teaching will be across a range of degree programmes with predominantly wildlife & conservation or professional development focused modules.
This a part time, 1 day per week position (up to 0.2 FTE) based at our Merrist Wood campus.
What do you need to be successful?
You will be enthusiastic and motivated to inspire and encourage students. You will have a level 6 qualification in an animal or ecological related discipline and either a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. Ideally, you will have work experience within a Higher or Further Education environment and experience of teaching HE students. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students at all levels to ensure you are maximising individual strengths to set them up for success. You would be considered highly desirable if you had teaching experience or a passion in the Wildlife, Sustainability, Ecology and Conservation related topics.
