Are you an expert in Computing and IT? Are you a qualified teacher or looking to become one? We’re looking for you.

We are searching for a passionate and enthusiastic Lecturer in Computing to join us here at Walsall college. A teacher with the drive to educate and support the minds of students who want a career in IT.

This post will require you to teach the following subjects: Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, Project Management, Computer Systems, IT Technical Support and more.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Teach on Level 3 and Higher Educations programmes in Security, Forensics, Web Application Development, Business Intelligence, Computer Architecture
  • Have strong IT skills and able to use ILT to support learning
  • Be inspirational and engage students
  • Be organised in all they do and have good attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Provide tutorial support to their students as well as thorough feedback
  • Be a point of contact for their students concerns / questions
  • Carry out general administrative tasks and undertake relevant training
  • Be a team player and support the department

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • A relevant qualification at degree level / an equivalent qualification in a vocational area
  • A recognised Level 4 teaching qualification such as Certificate in Education. PGCE or equivalent, or willing be to work towards it
  • English and Maths at GCSE grade C or above / equivalent level 2 qualifications
