We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer within our Countryside and Environment team at our Merrist Wood Campus. You will be responsible for delivering education and training to students at the College for primarily the Level 2 City and Guilds Countryside & Environment Level 3 Pearson Countryside & Environment courses, with the view to progressing to acting as Programme Owner for one of the courses. You will be responsible for quality teaching and learning in the delivery of courses and in supporting the raising of standards in accordance with the Corporate Aims and Strategic Objectives of the College. Teaching will predominantly be across the Level 2 and/or Level 3 specifications.
This a 0.4 permanent position based at our Merrist Wood campus, with potential of going full time should student recruitment allow.
What do you need to be successful?
You will be enthusiastic and motivated and ideally carry relevant qualifications and/or experience in the Countryside sector. You will have a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a recognised qualification. Ideally, you will have work experience within a Further Education environment and teaching on City and Guilds and Pearson/BTEC qualifications. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students at all levels to ensure you are maximising individual strengths to set them up for success.
