GCSE Lead for English

We are looking to recruit an English teacher to join our experienced team to support the department's growth in GCSE/Functional English. To succeed in this role, we are looking for experienced English Lecturers who are able to evidence their successful experience of teaching English from Entry Level to GCSE level. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of GCSE English specifications and/or Functional Skills standards. They will also be able to demonstrate experience of developing and delivering customised, differentiated learning materials and/or innovative curriculum which meet the needs of students. Candidates will hold a teaching qualification, and already hold or be undertaking a specialist Level 4/5 English qualification, or equivalent.

The role is full time and involves working 35 hours per week. The post will be based at our 12 Quays Campus in Birkenhead. There may be a requirement to work across other College sites on the Wirral. The successful applicant will be able to join the Teachers' Pension Scheme as well as receive the College's generous holiday entitlement.
