Skills Trainer Assessor-Business Suite 22.2 hours per week, fixed term until 31st December 2019
Starting at £12,195.32 rising to £ £14,014.19 with experience in the role. (Pro rata of £20,326 to £23,357)
We currently have a fixed term, full time opportunity for Skills Trainer Assessor with specialism in Business and Customer service to join the team in the Employer Services and Apprenticeship Academy. Skills Trainer Assessors are at the heart of the Academy and are key supporting and guiding learners through every stage of their learning journey.
In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of business related Apprentices with a focus on delivering and assessing workplace competence and tracking of Apprentices overall progress. Your role will be critical as you will be responsible for tying together all elements of their Apprenticeship ensuring that they are able to achieve timely success. You will continue to work with Apprentices and employers to ensure that progress is monitored and the Apprentice is successful.
The successful candidate will have a good level of education to a minimum of Level 3 in a Business related subject along with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience and be a fully qualified Assessor. If this is the right role for you then you will be highly motivated, a self-starter and a strong team player with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate workloads effectively and an enthusiasm for business. You will need to have the highest levels of commitment to the Apprentices, be dedicated to facilitating their achievement, able to engage and motivate Apprentices and have a passion to share your own industry knowledge, skills and experience. Exceptional communication skills are essential, both verbal and written along with excellent interpersonal skills to allow you to form effective relationships with your Colleagues, the Apprentices and their Employers.
This is a target led role and you will need to have a flexible approach to your workload ensuring that Apprentices and Employers are prioritised at all times. Proficient in the use of ICT systems is crucial to enable you to manage the caseload using an Electronic Portfolio System.
