New City College (NCC) is London’s second largest college, and the fourth largest college group in the UK, with over 20,000 students, a turnover of over £100m and campuses across Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge, Epping Forest and Havering. Whilst the college has increased in size and scale, it continues to retain its strong local identities and its campuses in each borough provide a strong choice of courses for their communities. Following the inclusion of a new post within the senior leadership structure, NCC is now looking to recruit a Principal for its Epping Forest and Redbridge campuses.

Based over two sites, Chadwell Heath and Ilford, Redbridge campus has a range of high quality facilities including the Box Theatre for performing arts students, hair and beauty training rooms and an award winning student run restaurant, Rouge. Facilities at the college’s Epping Forest campus, based in Loughton, include construction, a media studio and even a mock aircraft cabin to train students on its air cabin crew diploma.

This is a fantastic time to join NCC as its new Principal of Epping Forest and Redbridge, leading locally to ensure a dynamic, successful and innovative college and playing a pivotal role within the Senior Leadership Team. The new post holder will embed a success-focused culture and transform the college’s approach to quality improvement, ensuring that teaching and learning standards are consistently high, that the offer is innovative and that all learners receive an excellent student experience at all times.

In addition to strategic oversight and leadership of the two campuses, the Principal will have responsibility for several curriculum areas across the whole group which works to a matrix structure, as well as be tasked with leading on the college’s Wellness and Workload strategy.

The successful candidate will be a visible and motivational leader with experience of effective curriculum development and quality assurance within further education.
