Sessional Lecturer - AAT/Accounting

Sessional hours (up to 12 hours per week)

Mainly evening work but some daytime may also be available

Working at Brighton and/or Worthing Campuses

Due to increased demand for our AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) qualifications and Apprenticeships, we are seeking to appoint a bank of sessional AAT Lecturers to deliver evening courses in Brighton and/or Worthing campuses.   We are interested to hear from accountancy practitioners who have expertise in any of the areas of Advance Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Control, Budgeting, Financial statements, Personal and Business Tax, Elements of Costing, Credit Management

You will have your own course cohort to manage and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student journey.  This includes: course enrolment and induction, curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, management of student records, student achievement, and all associated course and quality related administration. You will help to enable student progression on to higher levels of study, employment, or apprenticeships.

You will require an academic qualification at minimum Level 4, a professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject as well as experience working in the accountancy field and enjoying training and developing others.  Good written and verbal communication and effective IT skills are essential.  Whilst a recognised teaching qualification is desirable, you will be provided with professional development qualifications such as the Level 3 Certificate Education & Teaching, 12 week course and/or PGCE in Education & Training 2 year course.

We are requiring Lecturers to teach AAT at level 2, 3 and 4, mainly in the evening but day time courses might also be available.  To arrange an informal discussion, please email Iwona Flanc

Interviews will be held remotely on 5 February 2021 (daytime)
