As Head of Digital Assessment, you will be responsible for the assessment of our Data Analytics, Data Technician, DevOps and Software Engineering programmes.

Job description:

• Managing, supporting and training a team of IQA’s to achieve excellent quality and compliance trends.
• Providing outstanding feedback, coaching and support to drive staff to achieve and deliver excellent teaching, learning.
• Monitoring compliance against the qualification standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Supporting delivery staff to ensure timely completion of End Point Assessment.
• Ensuring all curriculum trends are collated to support identification of quality and compliance improvements
• Design appropriate support guides, documentation processes and procedures to enhance the delivery programme and End Point Assessment.
• Planning, preparing and delivering of team, standardisation/moderation meetings.
• Compile effective reporting mechanisms for identifying development and improvements.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Education Inspection Framework, funding body expectations, awarding body and EPAP requirements
• Support and advise the Director of Curriculum and Assessment in continuous improvement in the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment. Including:

• Support the self-assessment process, Ofsted and external audit visits.
• Carry out own personal development as a learning practitioner and CPD updates to meet industry requirements.
• Ensuring all curriculum trends are collated to support identification of quality and compliance improvements
• Organise and manage External Quality Assurance (EQA) meetings
• Build rapport and develop relationships with External EPAO

 Person specification:

• Teaching qualification at level 3 or above
• Functional skills at level 2 for Maths, English and ICT or equivalent
• Assessor Award
• Internal Quality Assurance Certificate
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understanding of Digital Apprenticeship Standards, Quality Assurance and End-Point Assessment processes
• Experience of working with the Skills Funding Agency or other Government funded programmes
• Knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
• Highly developed interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills
• Experience of managing and developing high quality performing team members and colleagues
• The ability to prioritise, plan contingencies and adapt to changes at short notice
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure with good time management
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Good at partnership working and being part of a team with the same goal and outlook
• Able to use assessment judgement and escalate issues as and when required
