We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined individual to join the team responsible for delivery of a professional and responsive 3rd line IT Network and Systems support to demanding service levels.
The successful candidate should have astute diagnostic skills and the ability to solve issues with both clear methods and intuitive steps. You will have the ability to work well in both a team and on your own in a fast-paced environment. You should have knowledge of both Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to help LSEC move forward with their IT Strategy.
Post holder will be expected to provide 3rd line Network and Systems support to the IT Services team and external service providers to the LSEC IT Network.
You should have current experience of supporting the following technologies preferably in the FE or HE sector: PowerShell scripting in developing automation components. Database server administration - MS SQL Server HP/Cisco networks and VLAN's, including layer 2/3 switching, switch configuration, security and routing. Information Security Management ISO/IEC 27001. Microsoft Server 2016/19, Hyper -V infrastructure, configuration and maintenance. Dell and HP SAN technologies, configuration and maintenance All current MS Windows Server & Desktop platforms Windows Domain, Active Directory, DFS, WDS, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Group Policy
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. It is essential that you incorporate continuous improvement in your work and have a desire to meet or exceed service targets. Initiative, customer focus and the ability to prioritise under pressure will help ensure the team continue to provide a highly valued service to the college.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
