Team Leader in Animal Management (Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader in Animal Management at our Enfield and Brooks Farm campuses for maternity cover.

The successful candidate will be leading, managing and developing the curriculum area within the parameters set by the Director of Studies and Curriculum Leaders in Animal Management & Saddlery. The candidate will work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to foster and lead a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the area, and producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added. The team leader acts as Lead Internal Verifier and ensures all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with. Activities such as ensuring a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promoting new ways of teaching is also part of the role. The team leader will manage lecturers and practical instructors and ensure high standards of learning for our students, and animal welfare at the Enfield and Brooks Farm campuses.

The ideal candidate will will have a teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to work towards qualification and at least a HND, degree or similar in a science or animal related discipline. Experience of working in the Animal Management industry and education is essential.
