The School of Engineering are looking for a full time Lecturer who can use their industry knowledge to help our learners excel in the workshop and classroom.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, flexible and experienced individual to join our Electrical Installation team.
You will have industry knowledge and a willingness to impart your experiences to prepare our learners for the world of work. You will be able to recognise opportunities within the classroom or workshop, to support the development of English and Maths.
As part of the role, you will be teaching a range of students practical and theory units on full-time courses at Levels 1-3, adult evening part time courses twice a week as well as day release apprentices.
The ideal candidate will have relevant Level 3 electrical industry qualifications. An assessor’s qualification or verifier’s qualification would be advantageous, but if you are willing to complete this training we would still like to hear from you.
This position would be suitable for someone with a flair for passing on their knowledge to others and the enthusiasm to support our learners through their qualifications and apprenticeships.
You will have knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office and be able to adapt to remote teaching sufficiently.
This is a full-time post working 37hours per week based at our industry specific facility in Hemel Hempstead.
The closing date for applications is Friday 22 January 2021.
The successful candidates will join the School of Engineering team at our Hemel Hempstead Campus.
