Early Years Assessor

Job role:

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Early Years Assessor to predominately assess our CACHE Early Years students whilst on their placements or working through the adapted guidance from CACHE to assess workplace criteria through conversations and completing tasks with students during the current circumstances.

The post holder will also be required to teach innovative lessons to our diverse group of learners studying level 2 and 3 in Childcare, and therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for a Vocational Assessor with passion and drive for education to begin their teaching career and deliver exciting and inspirational lessons to our students.

We are looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible, working 26 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract until August 2021.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

The successful candidate will be occupationally knowledgeable and hold relevant knowledge to assess units designed to test the knowledge and understanding of learners. This knowledge should be demonstrable through relevant qualifications and experience, and at level 5 or above. In addition, the successful candidate will be qualified to make assessment decisions. In order to assess competence-based units, the successful candidate will be occupationally competent, and be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years of experience in the early years sector. This competence should be demonstrable through relevant assessor qualifications and experience.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
