With a new Chair, governors and recruitment for a new permanent CEO in progress, we are now seeking a highly-skilled Finance professional to join our executive team working closely with the new CEO and Board.

Our strong employer network ensures that the college’s curriculum is clearly linked to regional priorities offering a wide range of programmes for school leavers and adults including A levels, T Levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships and currently a small higher education offer.  Business support teams have remained stable through a challenging period, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead both the Finance function and pick up a portfolio of resource functions as agreed with the CEO and Board into the next phase of the colleges development.

The ideal candidate should be true team player with a passion to build high performing teams, commercially astute, and able to identify key trends, risks and opportunities within the college. The ability to understand the complexity of government funding streams impacting further education is a key success factor for this role. It is essential that you are a qualified accountant and have a proven track record of senior finance leadership. Significant experience of driving improvements, cost savings, financial modelling is essential as well as a good understanding of strategic, commercial and operational activities.  You will have sound judgement, tact, credibility, diplomacy, and the ability to influence without dictating whilst challenging where necessary at all levels within the college.
