We have a great opportunity to join the Information Services Department as a Business Intelligence Developer on a fixed term (9 months), full time (37 hours per week) basis.
In this role, you will be required to support the provision of excellent business intelligence to inform operational planning and gauge progress towards targets, through the development of timely, accurate reporting and data analysis for customers at all levels across the organisation. To develop and lead on information management projects, proactively developing positive relationships with customers, identifying needs and challenges and producing solutions with supporting documentation.
You will support the IS Developers daily, providing training and development to deliver innovative solutions to ensure the information needs of customers are delivered against agreed parameters.
To be successful in the role of Business Intelligence Developer you'll need:
Level 4 Qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards
Experience of developing effective reporting systems with the integrity, accuracy and completeness of large information sources
Experience of working with service standards to ensure effective operation of cross college systems and initiatives
Experience in PowerBI associated design patterns for visualisation
Knowledge of data architecture and data warehouses
Documenting business requirements using appropriate documentation standards
Working collaboratively internally and with partners to deliver the right solution and MI solution for the business
The ability to design a fully integrated suite of reports using consistent definitions and report formats
Needs to be highly diligent in ensuring consistency across the suite of reports including: data definitions, timescales, formats, etc.
