Lecturer - Animal/Equine/Veterinary Science

Salary: £25,705 - £33,872 per annum (salary dependent on experience and qualifications)Appointments will not usually be made above point L10 (£29,203) and progression beyond point L10 is subject to the attainment of certain qualifications.

Hours: 37 hours per week

A Golden Handshake of £3,000 is applicable, which is payable on joining.

University Centre West Anglia is looking to appoint a science lecturer to plan and deliver a science curriculum.  The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering innovative, high standard theoretical and practical sessions. You will teach on a range of courses which may include veterinary nursing degree, veterinary science access, bio veterinary science and veterinary nursing apprenticeships. You will be confident to deliver innovative, high standard theoretical and practical science sessions.  You must hold a Science Degree and preferably a Masters Degree in a relevant subject. You will be confident to support students with their dissertations. You will oversee the Lab facilities at the campus. You must also hold a relevant teaching qualification or be committed to obtaining one at level 5 (e.g DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd) within the first 3 years of employment and Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/4-9) or equivalent or is willing to obtain within 18 months of employment.
