Lecturer/Course Manager in Sport and Public Services
Status: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: L6 to L9 £25,080 to £28,639
The Sport and Public Services department is wishing to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual ideally with experience in foundation learning and SEND, and experience of teaching Sport, Public Services or Adventure Sport.
The successful candidate will join our existing team of dedicated staff, all of whom are genuinely passionate about their subject and support every student in reaching their full potential. Working within the Sport and Public Services department and with access to the substantial resources the successful candidate will be expected manage our level 1 provision, working closely with a range of departments across the College such as learning resources, learning skills, student support.
The successful candidate may also be required to deliver across a range of programmes, and may specialise in the delivery or oversight of delivery of modules including:
Sports Coaching
Health and Well-being
Anatomy and Physiology
Rules and Regulations
Massage and Injuries
Fitness Testing and Training
Health and Fitness for the Public Services
Sports and Recreation
The role will include the administration of modules, preparation and delivery of classroom-based lectures, practical delivery and marking and assessment of student work. You will also be required to support the management of a student cohort including undertaking 1:1 student tutorials, target setting and provide student welfare and pastoral support. All aspects of this role with require implementation of quality assurance processes.
The successful candidate would ideally have a L6 qualification in Sport, Public Services or a related qualification and have prior teaching experience.
