Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team at Abingdon & Witney College are looking to appoint energetic and enthusiastic people with excellent communication skills to support our students. A good working knowledge of EHCP’s, ASC would be an advantage as well as strategies for other SEND supported needs.

These are varied roles and require dedicated individuals who enjoy working with complex young people and who are keen to support students studying from Entry to Level 2 to enable them to succeed and achieve their full potential.  The successful candidates will be responsible for working closely with teaching and cross college support staff in order to ensure that all students progress on to further programmes of study or employment by achieving all parts of their study programme, as well as developing skills essential to life and independence.

The role involves working with students on a 1:1 basis, providing classroom and pastoral support and facilitating workshop activities in-group situations. We work with amazing young people who have a range of learning and support needs, and in some cases require aspects of intimate personal care.
