An ability to lead, inspire, and motivate young students and sometimes disengaged people into optimising their skill is also vital to effectively performing the duties required by this job. Since the basic responsibilities of this role will be geared towards helping and teaching students, you must show dedication, commitment, patience, and resilience towards this cause. You must have a passion for your profession and share in the institution's determination to produce outstanding students. A collaborative approach towards work with other staff of the institution is desired, you should also possess an excellent networking skill across all academic levels in order to promote change. Maintaining a flexible approach towards tutoring will also come in handy, you should also maintain a “can-do attitude” at all times in addition to great work ethics. To be successful in this application, you must meet with certain basic educational requirements which must include: A degree in any relevant field from a recognised institution. A minimum of 2-3 years previous experience working as an employability tutor. A recognised and valid teaching qualification. A basic understanding of English language. Proficient in IT skills including Microsoft office suite. These qualifications are mandatory as preference will be given to candidates who meet them. The basic purpose of this role is to provide support to the teaching and learning process in the college by delivering a professional and impartial service that aims to help students of the institution make informed and well thought-out decisions about their education, training, and employment options. In addition to this basic responsibility, you will perform a number of related functions which will include: 1.    Providing an in-depth career and employability related information, advice, and guidance to students and prospective students. 2.    Deliver dynamic learning programs that meet the needs of students. 3.    Plan and deliver employability skills as required to students. 4.    Deliver comprehensive career education support to students in the institution. 5.    Promote the value of learning among students and empower them to meet their targets. 6.    Be aware of current labor market information and inspire students to meet new challenges. 7.    Prepare students for their subsequent work experience placements and their next step in the world of employment. 8.    Plan and deliver skills testing as required for the benefit of the students. 9.    Collaborate effectively with other staff of the institution to foster the learning process of students. 10.     Adhere to all institution’s policies and regulations. 11.     Perform other related tasks as will be required of this position.
