About the role:

Activate Learning are now looking for engaging and inspirational individuals who are passionate about making a difference to join our Progress Coach team, working to equip our students with the skills, knowledge and attributes required to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

In this role, you will facilitate personal development tutorials, 1-1 and group coaching to provide individualised support and targeted interventions to a caseload of students relating to their personal development, their learning, and their careers to enable them to progress to the next level of learning or employment whilst keeping them engaged to achieve.

We have a diverse student population and require someone who can support learners with building their confidence, self-awareness and adapting to an education environment, post Covid. A fundamental part of this role is to work closely with students who are experiencing difficulties in managing their behaviour and therefore may require behavioural coaching.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week during term-time (0.88 FTE) at our Bracknell and Wokingham College campus.

What do you need to be successful as a Progress Coach at Activate Learning?

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with or without coaching experience to facilitate focused personal development sessions. You will have some experience of working with teenagers or young adults within a school/youth work/college or relevant environment. You will be empathetic, resilient and confident in working with students whose behaviour can be described as challenging.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver inspirational group sessions as well as coaching sessions to a diverse range of learners. You will be confident in delivering on subjects such as self-awareness, resilience, and target setting.
