About the role:

Activate Learning has recently secured funding to deliver Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF) projects, focused on collaborative working with other FE providers across our geographical areas to collectively respond to Local Skills Improvement Plans.

As part of this we’re now recruiting for a Multimedia Developer to develop high quality digital learning assets using a variety of multimedia content generation tools to enhance the learner experience and engagement with online learning.

Working alongside the rest of the Digital Education team and Online Faculty you’ll advise, guide and project manage the production of digital course content, translating the requirements of internal stakeholders into creative supporting material to bring digital learning to life.

This is a full-time role currently funded until March 2025. There is flexibility to be based at any campus with opportunities to work from home up to two days per week.

What do you need to be successful as a Multimedia Developer at Activate Learning?

The successful candidate will need 2-3 years experience in creative industries creating multimedia assets with an understanding of a broad range of instructional design methodologies, design theory, story boarding and demonstrable experience of applying these concepts.

Ideally you would have significant experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment, as well as potentially experience developing for mobile.

We're looking for candidates who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, planning skills and knowledge of project management.

While not necessary, knowledge of the Further Education sector and specific challenges of creating eLearning in an FE environment would be an advantage. Your application would also be supported by a knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and industry experience of graphics/video/audio work, including Adobe Creative Cloud.
