The opportunity we have: The School of Construction and Building Services offer vocational courses from Level 1 - Level 2 across specialist subjects in construction and building services. Based at our Grays campus (Thurrock College), we are hiring for a Lecturer in Multi-Skills to help deliver our City & Guilds and Pearson qualifications, namely Electrical Installations , Carpentry, Plumbing and Construction Skills. With state-of-the-art facilities, you will deliver first class teaching on related topics. Working within an established and evolving team you will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in FE. As a minmum, candidates will ideally possess the following: • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Construction Industry • Previous experience delivering Multi Skill courses. • A broad range of knowledge of the construction industry. • Experience working with young people of varying abilities to develop their confidence • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. • Assessors and IQA qualifications or willingness to work towards one. • Has Health & Safety qualification/ or relevant experience or willing to gain these • Has relevant industry/professional experience within the relevant sector. • Has knowledge of current developments in relevant vocational area. • You'll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and inspire others.
