Lecturer – Inclusive Learning (Supported Internship)
Permanent, Part-time (28.8 hours)
£34,690 - £44,409 pro rata
We are looking a qualified, experienced special needs teacher to join our Supported and Inclusive Learning team. The role is part-time and fixed term for one year as a Supported Internship Tutor. Our department delivers a range of courses that support young people to prepare for adulthood including vocational, employability and independence pathways. A commitment to working with young people/adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work.
The post will involve tutoring on one of our award-winning Supported Internship programmes and will be based mostly at the host business. You will work to develop the intern’s communication, independence, employability, and life skills. An interest and commitment to personalised learning, a student-centred approach and experience of working with young people and adults with learning disabilities is essential.
You will be required to deliver the curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, communicating effectively with students and parents/carers as appropriate and providing learners with appropriate tutorial support in accordance with the programme and individual requirements.
