Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMet) is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK, providing a wide range of education, training and apprenticeship courses across the West Midlands. Enrolling around 30,000 students of all ages each year on a range of full, part-time and higher education courses we provide a wide variety of courses across Birmingham, the Black Country and the Wyre Forest District.
Birmingham Metropolitan College was formed through the merger of several local colleges over the past ten years including Matthew Boulton College, Sutton Coldfield College, North Birmingham College and Stourbridge College. We work closely with local employers and businesses in the region as well global companies including BMW, Samsung, Caterpillar, IBM, Jaguar Land Rover and Network Rail to deliver training, apprenticeships and work experience/placement opportunities for students to ensure that they are equipped with skills that contribute to the local, regional and national economies.
We retain a local focus for students in the diverse communities we serve and we provide a good quality education on the doorsteps of the areas we cover, including Stourbridge and Brierley Hill, Kidderminster and throughout Birmingham.
