About Burnley College
At Burnley College, we have created a positive culture within which all of our staff can do an excellent job and develop professionally.
We work to ensure that our staff are fully involved in taking Burnley College forward. To achieve this we give great attention to effective multi-way communications with extensive staff involvement in all of our processes.
There are eight values at the heart of Burnley College culture; openness and honesty, fairness and consistency, mutual support, rigour, equality and diversity, loyalty, innovation and achievement and aspiration. These values underpin our college Charter, a framework for College life developed by our staff for our staff.
Our Staff Development ‘Excellence Initiative’ won the Association of Colleges City and Guilds Beacon Award for Staff Development. The UK-wide Beacon Awards provide national recognition for excellence and innovation as well as acknowledging the talents of staff at all levels.
