Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to study and work. We are a happy and distinctive Catholic Sixth Form College with a small and unique campus, which welcomes students and staff of all faiths and has a unique feeling of community.

In 2014, the students of Cardinal Newman College, once again have proven why the college is in the top 1% of colleges nationally for another year of outstanding results! The class of 2014 have achieved excellent A Level success with 75% of entries achieving High Grades (A*-B grades) and a 100% A Level and BTEC pass rate, the college is very proud of their students’ achievements.

The amazing results top an exceptional year for the College which includes becoming the Cambridge University hub for Lancashire, with a record number of students gaining a place at Oxford and Cambridge University.

Cardinal Newman College is also part of the Maple Group. The Maple Group colleges are amongst England’s most successful providers of post-16 education.  These colleges are renowned for exceptional performance and examination success, recognised by Ofsted for the consistently high quality of the learning experience provided.
