EMFEC, a membership body with charitable status, provides umbrella services for colleges and providers in the Further Education sector. We exist to support our members and the wider sector to operate effectively, act collaboratively and achieve excellence in all that they do.

We do this through providing a wide range of high quality services and impartial support to colleges, providers and partners within the sector. Our services include knowledge sharing, networking, professional development, projects, conferences, facilitating collaborative work, procurement and educational support.

We also seek to represent the interests of Colleges by providing the Association of Colleges East Midlands with responsive representational services.

ABC Awards, wholly owned by the EMFEC Group, is a leading national awarding organisation which has a long-established reputation for developing and awarding high quality vocational qualifications.  We are committed to developing qualifications which transform learners and organisations, providing the relevant skills, experience and confidence to excel.

We work with over 900 centres nationally and many tens of thousands of learners achieve an ABC Awards qualification each year.

Established in 1998, ABC Awards combines more than 180 years of examination and assessment expertise but at the same time integrates a responsive, flexible and innovative approach to the needs of our customers.
