Local Government Pension Scheme

It's a contributory scheme, so both you and the College pay into your pension each month – with the College paying the bigger share.
It's a pension based on your service and salary.

Teachers' Pension Scheme
|
The Scheme provides a regular income and a lump sum when you retire (either an automatic lump sum if you joined the scheme anytime before 2007, or an optional one if you joined since 1st January 2007).
If you're part-time or full-time, your enrolment into the scheme membership is automatic (but not compulsory).

Business mileage
|
Cars 45p per mile if claimed for the first 10,000 miles; 24p per mile for motor cycles and 20p per mile for bicycles.
