Lowestoft College’s main campus is based on St Peters Street and is a short walk from the local town centre. Here we offer extensive modern facilities that are unique to the area; in particular we have a well-established maritime and offshore department which attracts students from around the world. The department boasts specialist equipment including a managing major emergencies suite and training tank.
Our second campus at Lound is currently has undergone an extensive refurbishment and opened in September 2014. At this distinctive site we offer courses in Air Cabin Crew, Sports and Leisure, Travel and Tourism and Uniformed Services. Surrounded by 17 acres of field and boasting specialist course classrooms, including an air cabin mock-up, it is the perfect location to provide students with the facilities and training they need.
Lowestoft College offers a range of both full and part-time courses in a range of subjects. These include: Art and Design, Beauty and Hair, Business Administration, Construction and Trades, Engineering, Hospitality and Catering and Teaching and Professional Development.
The College has key links in business and industry and offers Apprenticeships in a range of sectors, including Brickwork, Customer Service, Engineering, Motor Vehicle and Plumbing.
In 2007, Lowestoft College became part of University Campus Suffolk (UCS). As a member of the UCS learning network, the college has been able to increase the Honours and Foundation degree level courses it offers. We also offer Access courses to help prepare you for the level of study required at degree level.
