Annual leave:
· Academic staff are entitled to 40 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England & Wales.
· Business Support staff are entitled to 30 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England & Wales.
· College Management Team are entitled to 35 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England & Wales.
The College is closed for 2 weeks during the student Christmas break during which time all staff are granted additional leave to be taken at this time.

Continuing Professional Development:
All new staff are provided with a full Induction programme plus an HR buddy and Induction Champions to support new staff in their probationary period. There are also opportunities for internal training opportunities throughout the academic year and to join the Aspiring Leaders programme.

The College has a Costa Coffee shop selling hot and cold drinks, snacks and sandwiches. In addition the College’s sophisticated Silk Room Restaurant is the ideal place to enjoy lunch or dinner. The facility offers competitively priced food with a high quality of service from our catering and hospitality students. Signature meal evenings held throughout the year give everyone the opportunity to sample speciality gourmet dinners designed by professional local chefs and prepared by students in our state-of-the-art kitchens.
The Lifestyle Fitness Gym, situated in our modern sports facility, offers affordable gym membership (normally £19 per month) and fitness classes for students, staff and members of the public that include yoga and Pilates.
The College’s Pure Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies Salon provides a wide treatments at competitive prices.
A salary sacrifice child care voucher scheme is offered to all staff. There is also a nursery, run independently of the College, situated on the College’s campus.

We are located on local bus routes and are conveniently 20 minutes’ walk from Macclesfield train station.
Staff Wellness:
Together with our community partners such as Fairways’ Garden Centre, Oliver’s Chocolate Parties, Sainsbury’s and Boots, the College holds two major wellness events each year. These well attended events offer our employees cholesterol & diabetes testing, blood pressure screening, BMI advice and health eating advice. The Cheshire Constabulary offers alcohol awareness as well as advice on safe driving skills whilst representatives from the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service are on hand to provide information to staff about home safety. Also provided by our community partners are complimentaryfacial makeovers and hand massages. In addition, the events focus on a range of “new to you” hobbies from underwater hockey to lace making to open water swimming to running with Macclesfield Harriers.
In addition the College provides free flu vaccinations on-site to staff during the Autumn Term.
The College’s wellbeing committee encourages its volunteers to organise a variety of events/ activities e.g. quiz nights, film nights, visits to places of interest, ten pin bowling, guided walks, and an annual staff activity day at the end of term.
