Teacher Training and CPD Opportunities

At Plumpton College we believe in investing in our staff to ensure that the highest quality teaching is delivered to our students. This includes providing support for trainee teachers wishing to develop their careers further in post 16 teaching.

The following courses are available to all teaching staff:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
• Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

We also offer bespoke CPD and training focused on teaching & learning delivered by internal specialists and external providers. Further training and CPD is available to ensure teaching staff are up to date with qualifications in their specialist subjects.

Individual coaching and support is led by experienced teaching coaches.

We provide an induction programme for unqualified/ or newly qualified teachers, with mentoring sessions, individual coaching and teaching & learning workshops.
