Established as a sixth form college in 1974, Runshaw has grown over the last forty years into a thriving community meeting the needs of learners from across the region at its three centres.
Our sixth form centre in Leyland offers a wide range of A-levels and Vocational programmes.
We also provide education for adult students from Basic Skills to Higher Education at our two adult centres in Euxton and Chorley. Our Chorley centre also has vocational facilities that are used by learners of all ages.
Runshaw's Business Centre delivers training and development programmes and work based training to hundreds of businesses across the North West.
One of the most successful colleges in the UK, we are renowned nationally for our outstanding results, friendly and supportive culture and focus on learners' needs. We value our staff and students highly, and invest heavily in their development, support and wellbeing.
Exceptional Working Environment During the last five years we have invested millions of pounds in new accommodation and facilities. This includes new science laboratories; four teaching blocks; specialist areas for the creative arts, languages, and a new IT centre; a sports centre and a complete refurbishment of the Adult Centre and the ever popular Foxholes Bistro and Restaurant. Since 2009 we have had an extension built which has doubled the space in the students Mardale restaurant, which now has a mezzanine level. We also had built a new Student Services Building, a new reception and office suite, a new library and Study Support offices, which has completed our modern and impressive frontage.
