The College is one of the largest and most successful in the country and has a history of delivering high quality teaching and learning.

Salford City College has five main centres offering a wide range of academic, vocational and apprenticeship qualifications. These range from basic skills through to degrees.

Our high quality teaching and learning attracts from the whole of Greater Manchester and beyond and our reputation continues to grow based on our high performance.  In 2015 we were graded ‘good’ by Ofsted.  We are exceptionally proud of the success of our students and this is down to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the great opportunities that we provide.

The College has in excess of 10,000 students each year, with over 5,500 of these being full-time 16-18 year old students progressing directly from school.  With a £42m turnover and employing around 700 staff, Salford City College makes a broad contribution to the Greater Manchester economy through the work that we do.  We are committed to raising standards in teaching and learning, helping to shape the future of education in our local area and throughout the sector and work hard to ensure that every student is successful in their studies.
