Stafford College is a successful general Further Education College based in the County town of Stafford, which has a population of 60,000.
The College community has approximately 3,000 full-time students, mainly aged 16-19 years as well as around 4,000 enrolments on part-time courses annually. The majority of the students on part-time courses are adults. In additionally, around 450 students are on degree-level courses and 1,500 members of the local community support our very popular leisure courses. With Junior College catering for children aged as young as six and dedicated classes for people in retirement, the student body is diverse and vibrant.
Our campus in the heart of the town centre offers impressive facilities for lecturers and students. An ambitious programme of investment has resulted in the creation of industry-standard resources for students of hospitality, beauty, sport and music technology subjects. Art and design courses are taught in purpose-built workshops and studios within the self-contained Broad Eye building, which also provides exhibition space. The Palmbourne Technology Centre is a superb base for lecturers teaching skills in Motor Vehicle, Construction, Brickwork, Carpentry and Engineering subjects.
Stafford College is the fourth largest employer in the town. Many employees are based off-campus, delivering part-time courses and working with employers throughout Staffordshire.
