The Henley College is a leading Sixth Form College in south Oxfordshire and is committed to delivering excellence in education and training.
The Henley College serves a diverse range of 2,300 full time and part time learners drawn from a wide area across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire counties.
We provide our students with a range of A Level programmes, as well as a fully comprehensive range of vocational courses and apprenticeships to serve the entire community. The College occupies two sites in the centre of the attractive market town of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
We have been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and, with a turnover in excess of £11million, are in a sound financial position to fulfil our ambition to become an outstanding College.
OUR MISSION
Supporting our students to achieve their best by providing the highest quality of academic and vocational teaching and learning. An unrelenting focus on continuous quality improvement. Promoting high expectations, providing excellent pastoral care, welcoming individuality and developing independence.
HELPING YOU TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE
With over 60 high-achieving A Level and vocational diploma courses, apprenticeships and other opportunities, students are guided towards choosing the route that is right for them, taking into account their individual needs, aspirations and potential.
SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS TO SUCCEED
Supporting students to succeed is something all staff are firmly committed to and incredibly passionate about. Personal Tutors and a caring, professional Student Services team offer guidance and help with all aspects of College life. There is specialist support for students with identified learning support needs or a disability, or those who feel they are experiencing any problems with their studies.
A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT
The College has been recognised as a Leader in Diversity which is the highest award that can be granted by the National Centre for Diversity. At The Henley College we celebrate our diverse and inclusive community. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity and to celebrating diversity.
Whilst many of our students know at least a small number of their fellow students when they first arrive, this doesn't apply to everyone. Either way, the College is an easy place to meet and make long-lasting friends quickly, helped by a busy timetable and a wide range of enrichment activities.
ENRICHMENT
We are committed to offering every student a wide and balanced education, resulting in an impressive range of clubs and activities for students to choose from. We are rightly proud of the wide and varied programme of sport, health and human development, which is supported by a teaching team of full and part-time specialist staff.
DESTINATIONS
Each year around 70% of our students continue on to higher education. Our students recently achieved their best ever results, with a record number going on to study at Oxford and Cambridge, and leading Russell Group universities.
Each year a number of our students continue on to university outside of the UK. They have secured places at institutions ranging from European universities such as Maastricht to North American universities including Harvard.
