Motersport Lecturer

Castle Education are hiring for a dynamic and forward-thinking college dedicated to fostering the next generation of Motorsport and Motor Vehicle enthusiasts. Located in the vibrant city of York, the Motorsport team is passionate about providing a unique and engaging learning experience that goes beyond traditional education.

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for the support and delivery of Motorsport qualifications. Sector experience and technical qualifications in the motor trade are essential. With experience in the Motorsport/Motor Vehicle industry and a passion for what you do, you may not have experience in teaching, but must be willing to work in a dynamic and challenging environment that is exciting, engaging and rewarding. Above all, you will be ready to learn and keen to positively influence the future of our students.

Salary range - 26,520- 28926 (0.6 FTE)

As a Motorsport/Motor Vehicle Enthusiast and Educator, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and guiding aspiring enthusiasts in the field. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to merge your passion for Motorsport or Motor Vehicle engineering with education. You will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative curriculum content, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Responsibilities:
  1. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the academic team to create engaging and relevant curriculum content that aligns with industry standards and trends in Motorsport and Motor Vehicle engineering.
  2. Instruction and Guidance: Provide insightful instruction and guidance to students, fostering a positive and interactive learning environment. Share your practical knowledge and experiences to enhance students' understanding of the subject matter.
  3. Practical Workshops: Organise and conduct practical workshops, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in a hands-on setting. Facilitate a dynamic and experiential learning experience within our state-of-the-art facilities.
  4. Mentorship: Offer mentorship and support to students, helping them develop both technical skills and a passion for the industry. Encourage creativity and critical thinking in problem-solving.
  5. Industry Networking: Stay abreast of industry developments and establish connections within the Motorsport and Motor Vehicle engineering community. Utilize these networks to enhance the educational experience and create opportunities for students.

Qualifications:

  • A background in Motorsport or Motor Vehicle engineering with relevant academic qualifications.
  • Proven experience in the Motorsport industry or a related field.
  • Passion for educating and inspiring the next generation of Motorsport enthusiasts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials.
