Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Maidstone, Medway and surrounding areas

Pay: From £425 per week (based on five days working)

Reed Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their cover team supporting schools throughout the Maidstone and Medway areas through the remainder of the 2024 academic year.

What does the role involve?

• Supporting the lead class teacher in delivering tailored and engaging lessons to a class of approximately 30 students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Offering individualised intervention to those students who require additional time on a particular subject or topic by adapting, rephrasing or repeating parts of the learning.
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis as required to ensure engagement in the lesson.
• Offering support to the teacher where needed in planning, preparation and reporting.

What do I need to be to be successful in this post?

• Experience working in an educational or nursery environment, either in the UK or overseas.
• Being a quick learner, an intuitive educator and happy to get stuck in!
• A love of learning and imparting knowledge on young learners.
• Right to Work in the UK
• A DBS certificate on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for a new one through Reed.
