Barnsley College is a large tertiary College serving the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough and surrounding areas in South Yorkshire. The College is the main provider of post-16 education in the borough and plays a vital role within the Yorkshire and Humber region. The College achieved outstanding at its last Ofsted inspection in March 2022 and continues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning and very strong outcomes for learners.

We are now seeking a new Vice Principal Students. You will play a visible role in the leadership of the college, reporting directly to the Principal and CEO. This post requires someone with significant and relevant experience in educational leadership, as well as the strategic ability to drive the development of all aspects of an exceptional student experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise around safeguarding and the ability to influence both in and outside of the college in the local stakeholder environment

As the Vice Principal of Students, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will work closely with the Senior Managers and Department Heads to set targets and deliver an inspired and adaptable curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of our learners. Excellence, inspiration, and innovation is what drives us. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader and a creative communicator who can articulate a shared vision for the college and inspire others to succeed. An individual with integrity, who prioritises collaboration, empowers others, and is visible and accessible to staff and students.
