School Kitchen Staff

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time School Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals for our students and staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. The role will involve working closely with our kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety at all times.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
Provide excellent customer service to students and staff during meal times.
Requirements:

Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
Holds a Health and Safety Certificate.
Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate.
Must possess an Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service.
Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from kitchen supervisors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
