We are seeking an experienced Student Careers Advisor to provide guidance, support, and resources to empower students in their career development.

As a Student Careers Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive career guidance and advice to students, helping them explore their interests, skills, and aspirations, and identify suitable career pathways.
• Delivering individual and group career guidance sessions, workshops, and presentations to support students in making informed decisions about further education, training, and employment opportunities.
• Supporting students with writing CVs, cover letters, and job applications, and providing interview preparation and mock interview practice to enhance their employability skills.
• Maintaining accurate records of student interactions, career plans, and progress towards goals, and contributing to the continuous improvement of careers guidance services.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• An Enhanced DBS check, ensuring your suitability to work with children and young people in an educational setting.
• Previous experience working within a school or college environment, providing career guidance, information, and support to students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students from diverse backgrounds.
• CIPD Level 7 qualification in Careers Guidance or related field.
