About Us

This is great time to join St Helens College in the position of Head of Engineering, as the department is experiencing growth via apprenticeships, higher education and through the introduction of T Levels for September 2024. The College is making significant investments in new state-of-the-art equipment, in addition to the recent £1m refurbishment of the Centre for Precision Engineering.

We already work with some of the largest employers in the region, and we are looking for someone to bring the future skills needs of our employers into curriculum design, creating an exciting and relevant curriculum that will support the development of the next generation of outstanding engineers.

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, experienced leader, with a proven track record of designing and managing Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeship curriculum.

As the Head of School, supported by a Deputy Head of School, you will provide inspirational day-to-day leadership, including the development and management of both staff and students and driving up quality , ambition and growth within the Engineering and Motor vehicle departments

It’s a great time to be joining us, as we continue our preparations for the delivery of engineering T Levels. You will play a key leadership role in shaping the curriculum and embedding an outstanding experience for our students.
