About the role:

We are looking for a Course Leader to support a range of learners engaged in sports-based study programmes leading to a Btec Sports qualification. Working with the centre team, you will take responsibility for the development and delivery of our provision. From planning lessons and assessing student work to coordinating resources and managing student activities to developing industry links and course marketing. Working at the core of the student experience, you will work among experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team.

The candidate will work with Level 2 and Level 3 students to support them to complete Btec Level 3 Sports Coaching & Development qualification.

The role will require the Course Leader to undertake interviews with prospective students on a weekly basis, alongside occasional weekend work for recruitment events.
The successful candidate will be focused, hard-working, flexible, and willing to learn, alongside being able to work as a team and have the ability to communicate clearly.

Qualifications:
  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • A formal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or equivalent) or above.
  • Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at level 2 or above.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience delivering L3 BTEC, Teaching qualification desirable.
  • Experience of working in FE.
  • Experience of the post-16 age group.
  • A demonstrable record of success in previous roles.
