Purpose

We are seeking a confident and passionate individual to join our curriculum team as a qualified Tutor specialising in Beauty Therapy To oversee the delivery of City & Guilds qualifications. Level 1 Hair & Beauty progressing onto Level 2 Beauty Therapy.

Your Opportunity

• As a tutor at Homefield College you will be able to deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to our students and will be committed to enabling all our students to achieve their potential by using exciting and innovative approaches to engage students in their learning. Also assist the collaborative effort in developing Homefield's hair & beauty salon Spectrum style.

• Assume a pivotal role in delivering the Level 1 and Level 2 beauty therapy curriculum ensuring it is embedded within the salon environment.

• Ensure that all students receive a safe and empowering learning experience aligning with their individual needs and EHCP outcomes by effectively coordinating Evidence for Learning Platform’s operational elements.

 • The ideal candidate will contribute to the organisational mission, vision, and values through designing, delivering and assessing a learning programme that allows our students to make progress towards an independent future at home, at work and in their community. Ensure that all students receive a safe working salon experience in line with industry health and safety guidelines.

• Our focus as an organisation is on the continued development of teaching, learning and assessment to provide the best possible experience to our students and we would be looking for a candidate who is committed to the continued raising of quality to support this ethos.

• This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a hair & beauty background who holds a PGCE / CertEd teaching qualification or equivalent. HR/Job Descriptions/Tutor /Page 2 of 3 Tutor Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all students within your area of responsibility receive a safe and empowering learning experience, which meets both their individual needs and that of their EHCP outcomes, with stretch and challenge to be as successful as possible in adult life.

• To deliver innovative, timely and effective teaching, learning and assessment, which enhances the progression opportunities for students to achieve the intended destinations through effective planning, implementation and record keeping.

• Be innovative and pro-active in developing, age appropriate, learning resources that enhance the learning of students and make effective use of the community to support learning.

• Be a reflective practitioner that is always striving for improvement, actively contributing to the quality cycles and proactive in professional continuous learning.

• Work collaboratively with tutors, learning support assistants and other staff for the benefit of students and ensure effective embedding into all aspects of learning.

• Take responsibility for the delivery, monitoring, and achievement of qualifications and RARPA achievement of students within your area of responsibility.

• Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to for the benefit of students and staff. General Responsibilities for all Staff:
