Join This Fantastic Team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Leeds!

This fantastic primary school in Leeds is looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a child in Reception with ADHD and Autism. This fulfilling role commences asap and runs until July 2024 and into September. Relevant experience as a teaching assistant and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs is essential. Candidates would need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team showing patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenges.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored support to the child, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the child's social and academic growth.
• Collaborating with the school's SENCO and teaching staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
• Offering one-to-one assistance in various subjects and helping the child overcome challenges associated with ADHD and Autism.
• Monitoring and recording the child's progress and liaising with parents and carers to keep them informed of developments.
