We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Veritas Supporting a Secondary School in Sheffield. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting the learning needs of students.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help with their learning.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities and resources as directed by teaching staff.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
