Salary: Up to £17,226 pro rata (£34,000 FTE) Subject to experience

MK College Group have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Tutor to join the prison-based Education Team at HMP Rochester in Kent on a part time basis. As a Health & Safety Tutor, you will be actively engaging prison-based learners with creative classes and resources. Many of the learners have a diverse range of needs and learning abilities, they will often have had a negative experience with education. As a successful Health & Safety Tutor, you will truly inspire them and provide learners with a positive learning experience.
This role may involve outreach work outside of the main classroom setting. You will be connecting with learners in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment upon release as well as other areas within education the prison.
We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with learners to inspire and motivate them. The average class consists of 8 learners and the sessions are approximately 3 hours long. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.
