Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher with expertise in either Music or Physical Education (PE), who also possesses a strong foundation in core subjects including Maths, English, Guided Reading, and Phonics. The successful candidate will join our dedicated team at Insert School Name starting from September.
Responsibilities:
Specialist Subject Instruction: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in either Music or PE, ensuring adherence to curriculum guidelines and fostering a love for the subject among students.
Core Subject Teaching: Provide high-quality instruction in core subjects, including Maths, English, Guided Reading, and Phonics, catering to the diverse needs of students.
PPA Cover: Assume responsibility for PPA cover on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, facilitating the continued progress of students in the absence of their regular class teacher.
General Cover: Undertake general cover duties across the school on Monday and Friday, stepping into various classrooms and subjects as needed to ensure continuity of learning.
Potential Music Assemblies: For candidates with a Music specialism, there is a likelihood of delivering Music assemblies on Mondays to all year groups, showcasing talents and fostering a sense of community through music.
Extracurricular Involvement: Explore the potential of running a choir club or other extracurricular activities aligned with the candidate's expertise and interests.
Additional Opportunities (For Potential ECT):
Early Career Teacher (ECT) Development: For potential ECTs, this role offers valuable experience in covering general PPA across the school, as well as Monday and Friday cover duties, providing a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
