Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer

Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer

The School of Engineering is looking for a Lecturer to start in August 2024 who can use their industry knowledge to help our budding Aeronautical Engineers to excel.

We are looking to recruit an innovative and creative individual with excellent industry experience and knowledge in Aeronautical Electronics and Mechanical Engineering to ensure our students are prepared for the world of work and qualified to industry requirements in Aeronautical Engineering. Knowledge of Aircraft Engineering, CAD and BTEC qualifications would also be advantageous.

As well as the relevant experience, we are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for helping people of all abilities to achieve their potential. You will need to be proactive, professional and above all be able to support students to develop in their vocational and wider employability skills, such as English and Maths. The right individual needs to be flexible in their approach and willing to maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments within the Aeronautical engineering industry, including legislation.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and deliver qualifications to students in both theory and practical BTEC applications and will be teaching on full-time Level 3 courses. Teaching qualifications and experience are desirable, but teacher training will be provided on the job, and we would love to hear from anyone already experienced in Aeronautical Engineering. This post is working 37 hours a week and the successful candidate will be based at our Hemel campus.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 18th June 2024.
We reserve the right to bring forward the closing date of the adverts should we receive a sufficient level of interest!
