Sessional ESOL Lecturer

£34.32 - £40.55 D.O.E

Variable hours - needs to be available at least two evenings (Wednesday and Thursday)

Are you a qualified and experienced ESOL Tutor? Do you have experience of delivering ESOL to a range of learner abilities (from pre-entry to level 2) and helping them progress to achieve their goals? Are you willing to work two evenings a week? If so, we would be very interested in hearing from you.

Due to a predicted rise in student numbers this September we are looking for an enthusiastic ESOL lecturer to deliver innovative and inclusive teaching to post-16 learners and become an integral member of our team. This would include learners under 19 as well as adults. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate your students enhancing your lessons using a variety of approaches including technology. Your role will be to progress, support and develop every student through outstanding teaching and learning to achieve a successful outcome in their ESOL studies.

Job requirements:
  • TEFL, CELTA or TESOL qualification. A specialist ESOL qualification is desirable.
  • Hold a teaching qualification (Level 4)
  • Experience of teaching ESOL within the post-16 sector
  • Demonstrable track record of student achievement in ESOL qualifications
  • Have a minimum level 2 English and maths qualification
  • Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
