Location: Tresham College - Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough Campuses
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £25,585 and £30,915 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, People's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 36 weeks per year

About the role: We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) in Maths and English to join our English and Maths department at The Bedford College Group
. As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2), you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Classroom Learning Support - Provide in-class assistance for learners studying English and Maths (GCSE and Functional Skills), reinforcing learning and helping students engage positively.
- Targeted Learner Support - Support learners with additional needs, including those with EHCPs, through one-to-one and small-group interventions under the guidance of teaching and SEND staff.
- Preparation & Progress Monitoring - Assist with preparing learning resources, supporting assessment activities and helping monitor, record and report learner progress as directed.
- Collaboration & Learner Engagement - Work closely with tutors, support teams and managers to promote attendance, positive behaviour, inclusion and use of digital learning platforms.
- Professional & Statutory Responsibilities - Maintain confidentiality, participate in training and team activities, and uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and health & safety requirements.
About you: - Qualifications & Subject Knowledge - GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, plus a Level 3 qualification in English and Maths to support effective delivery.
- Learner Support Experience - Experience supporting learners in an educational setting with the ability to contribute effectively to teaching and learning.
- Communication & Teamwork - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a teaching team.
- Professionalism & Learner Focus - Flexible, supportive and learner-centred approach, committed to equality, diversity, inclusion and adapting to learner needs across timetabled sessions.
- Development & Compliance - Basic IT skills, willingness to undertake training and CPD, and suitability for the role subject to an enhanced DBS check.
