1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 1
Location: Finsbury Park, North London
Veritas Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a little boy in Year 1 at a welcoming 1-form entry primary school based in Finsbury Park. This is a lovely, community-focused school with a strong emphasis on inclusion, consistency, and nurturing every child to achieve their potential.
The school offers a calm, supportive environment where staff work closely together and children are known as individuals. Leaders are highly supportive, and there is a strong commitment to providing high-quality provision for pupils with special educational needs.
This role requires someone with previous SEN experience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping the child access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence both academically and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day. The role involves supporting learning in class, helping with emotional regulation and behaviour where needed, and encouraging independence in line with the child's individual needs and targets.
